I've been busy the last couple of months with some fiber crafts other than knitting. I'm still knitting, but I've been teaching myself some new things and I'm starting to get excited. I've been planning to get an etsy shop up for the last year or so, so maybe with this I'll actually get it up . . . I'll post some pictures soon, but I am not quite ready yet

First baby turns 21 today!

Our nutty robin is sitting on a clutch of eggs. She explodes out of the tree just when you walk past. If she would just sit still, we would have never noticed these beauties . . .

I had to attend at several meetings recently and having to pay attention to what was going on in those meetings, I put the sweater aside. Counting rows and increases does not go along so well to listening to speakers, so I decided to knit DH an herbal heatpack with some scraps of yarn previously used for mittens and leg warmers. Not exactly macho colors, but it's not like he'll be leaving the house with it. At any rate, I finished it tonight - the knitting part of it - and just have to sew on the i-chord loop and knob fastener. And whip up the inner sack on the sewing machine and stuff that. But the knitting part is done.

Americade

Went for a little ride this weekend with some friends up to Lake George. Very pretty countryside, nice spending time with some nice people. Pleasantly warm on Saturday, quite chilly on Sunday. Really enjoyed riding through the beautiful countryside of upstate New York and Vermont.
