Well . . . tried something different, and you can tell. Flying by the seat of my pants again, I cast on 72 stitches using size 11 circular needles; worked in p2k2 rib for 6 inches, then decreased and finished. I wanted to rip it out and start all over, but Abby wouldn't let me. She likes it. Go figure.

Jesse took the leftover yarn and knit Abby up a little purse. It's cute.

I was so pissed at that hat pattern I used to knit Jesse's hat that I just flew by the seat of my pants today making Kyle's hat to match his Christmas scarf. Using size 11 circular needles, I cast on 66 stitches. Then I worked in p2k2 rib for 2 inches, then knit every row for 4 inches, then gradually decreased and finished. I think it came out better than Jesse's hat, and the pattern needs some work, but Kyle likes it.

Finished Jesse's hat! It was really frustrating - I don't like this pattern. Grrr. I'll have to talk to the Knitting Guru. The hat looks good on Jesse, though - goes with her scarf and vest!

Amy's mittens are done! they came out well. As usual, the picture does not do them justice - they're really quite cute!

Amy's scarf finished up really quick. Cast on 16 stitches on size 13 needles with the Fumo and the Trndsetter Yarns Shadow held together; knit every row until 63"; cast off, weave in all ends. The Trendsetter is very pretty - it has blue, green, pink and white, so the scarf is quite lovely.

I'm startting her mittens as well, but will only use the Trendsetter in the cuffs. I am going to cast on with size 7 dps and knit the cuff, then switch to size 8dps for the body of the mitten. They should fit better.

Starting Jesse's hat too, tonight. First hat ever! I'm using the leftover yarn from her Christmas scarf and an easy pattern the Knitting Guru sold me.

Dee Dee's mittens are done! I like the way the Eyelash looks on the cuffs, but next time I think I'll start the mittens on a smaller size needle to do the cuffs and then switch to the larger needles for the body of the mitten.

Starting a scarf for Amy (our next door neighbor, Greg's girlfriend) with pink Fumo and a novelty yarn similar to Eyelash. I think the pink will look really nice on her because she is a brunette.
